Bodo Hell & Peter Gruber: Nature Writers

Bodo Hell and Peter Gruber are poets, writers – and shepherds. These two long-time members of the Austrian literary scene spend their summers tending sheep and cattle in the Austrian Alps, an experience with the land and landscapes that informs their modern and contemporary prose and poetry. Each has multiple publications to his name.

Please join the 2022 Faculty of Arts Distinguished Lecture in Economics with Paul Beaudry, Deputy Governor of the Bank of Canada, on Pandemic macroeconomics: What we’ve learned, and what may lie ahead.

This Spring Convocation the Faculty of Arts proudly celebrates our undergraduate class of 2022, who represent the vast majority of graduands walking across the convocation stage. As part of our multiple celebrations of grads and honourees, we warmly congratulate the distinguished Arts undergraduates receiving special awards and honours.

A doctoral degree is the ultimate culmination of hard work and dedication. From countless hours attending seminars and conducting research, to TA'ing courses and preparing a dissertation, our PhD students have shown grit and determination from the outset. While the pandemic may have impacted the way research and courses were conducted, it cannot take away from the monumental accomplishment of completing a doctoral degree.
