David Kerr (BA '85 Economics)
David Kerr is a Partner in Deloitte Canada’s Insurance Core Technology Consulting practice. He is an insurance industry and technology leader with 30+ years experience in emerging technology, industry solutions, business and market development, project delivery, strategic consulting, various forms of outsourcing, team building and leadership.
He has completed projects for many leading global insurance companies in over 20 countries worldwide and brings proven leadership experience in global, diverse and multicultural environments. Kerr is an accomplished team leader who maintains strong relationships with industry executives, business partners, clients and team members worldwide.
Based in Kitchener, he leads a number of large insurance technology delivery projects in Canada and manages Deloitte’s Technology Delivery Hub in the Kitchener office.
David received a Honours Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Applied Studies from the University of Waterloo in 1985.
Ingrid Schiller (BA '97 German)
Since graduating from the University of Waterloo, Ingrid has worn many hats during her diverse and dynamic career – marketer, manager, and relationship maker extraordinaire. She is a passionate agent for growth and change, both through her professional roles and volunteer work.
Her specialties include business development, marketing, events/trade shows, team building, silo destruction, social media, digital marketing, travel, photography, cooking, culture and having fun.
Since June 2013, she has been the Faculty of Arts representative on the University of Waterloo Alumni Council whose goal it is to advance the mission of the University and provide direction for many university projects.
Markus Grupp (BA '01 Political Science)
Markus has held leadership roles in experience, product, and service design at Fortune 500 companies, leading design firms, and start-ups in Europe and Canada, including Indigo, TELUS, Rogers and Orange/ France Telecom.
A Waterloo Arts Co-op grad, Markus studied and completed co-op terms in Germany during his Waterloo studies before going on to earn a Masters in Design at the University of Westminster, London and working several years in the UK and France.
Filip Jadczak (BA '17 GBDA)
Filip Jadczak is a User Experience (UX) Designer at Magnet Forensics in Waterloo, where he designs software to help digital forensic examiners uncover evidence and solve cases quickly. Filip's work spans across UX research and design, including interacting with customers to better understand how they use Magnet's products, gathering feedback, and designing new product features and enhancements that keep Magnet at the cutting edge of forensics.
Previously he worked in a consulting role with a variety of clients, revamping the user experience of legacy systems for large scale organizations and helping startups incorporate design thinking into the strategy and development of new digital products.
He is passionate about usability and building products that help people be more efficient in their work. In his spare time he enjoys creative writing, language learning, and engaging with the local Kitchener-Waterloo design community. Filip holds a Bachelor of Global Business and Digital Arts (BGBDA) from the University of Waterloo and completed a semester abroad at the University of Leeds in the UK.
