This first in our fall Interdisciplinary Mashup series will focus on disability, specifically disability and digital accessibility at school and in the workplace. The purpose of these mashups is to provide a forum for researchers to gather around interdisciplinary topics and discover others working in similar or complementary areas. For this particular mashup, staff from Waterloo’s Accessibility Services will attend. As well, Nadine Quehl (Non-profit/Public Sector Partnerships) and Vlad Loutchenok (Corporate Research Partnerships) from the Office of Research will join us with some potential partnering and funding opportunities relevant to disability and digital technology/accessibility.
Attendees will be invited to make a brief (5 minute) presentation of their interest in this area, after which we’ll have a free-for-all of conversation and networking. Faculty, postdocs and grad students are welcome.
Please contact Angela Roorda (aroorda@uwaterloo.ca) if you’d like to participate.
