Chris Williams, BA ’91 (Fine Arts), is a Canadian animator, film director, screenwriter and voice actor who has directed many animated movies and worked on many beloved films of the last three decades --Mulan, Lilo & Stitch and Frozen, to name a few.
Big Hero 6, which Chris directed won the Oscar for Best Animated Feature in 2015. Other films which were nominated for Oscars included Bolt (for Best Animated Feature) and Moana (for Best Animated Feature and Best Original Song).
After a 25-year career at Disney, Chris left in 2018 to work on The Sea Beast for Netflix, a film he wrote, directed and produced. It was also nominated for Best Animated Feature.
