Students,
faculty,
and
staff,
stunned
and
deeply
saddened
by
the
murder
of
Muslim
worshipers
at
the
Grande
Mosquée
de
Québec
and
appalled
by
events
unfolding
now
in
the
United
States,
will
gather
tomorrow,
Tuesday,
31
January,
at
noon
on
the
Arts
Quad
of
the
University
of
Waterloo
campus,
and
then
again
at
7:15
in
the
Student
Life
Centre
to
express
our
sorrow,
as
well
as
our
support
for
our
Muslim
peers,
colleagues,
students,
across
Canada
and
around
the
world.
The
noon
vigil
will
include
time
for
mourning
together
in
silence,
as
well
as
speeches
by
community
members
impacted
by
recent
events.
The
UW
Muslim
Student
Association
vigil
and
prayers
will
begin
at
7:15
with
words
of
support,
prayers
for
victims
at
7:25,
and
evening
prayers
in
Arabic
at
7:30.
