Co-hosted by the Department of Economics, UWaterloo Economics Society, and the Waterloo Cybersecurity and Privacy Institute, this half-day conference will bring alumni together to discuss the range of careers possible with an economics degree.

An evening of BLEND brings the creative people, meaningful connections, and insightful ideas of the BLEND Design Conference in a shorter, more intimate format for those who can’t wait until March to (re)connect in Stratford at BLEND.

This exclusive evening will feature three dynamic speakers and the opportunity to connect with other UWaterloo alumni and like-minded professionals.

This international, interdisciplinary conference will explore and underline how we engage in cooperative academic conversations, share approaches that work well, and cultivate openness and freedom of expression. The conference is part of the University of Waterloo’s commitment and actions for a campus culture that values both freedom of expression and the safety and wellbeing of our community members. 

Digital disinformation presents a mounting threat to, and challenge for, liberal democracies. This interdisciplinary workshop presented by Waterloo's Cybersecurity and Privacy Institue will bring together the academic community, industry, civil society, and government. The goal is to outline and assess the evolving threat of digital disinformation while also providing direction and guidance on how to protect liberal democracies like Canada from weaponized digital disinformation.
