Please join this free film screening of 1939, written by Jani Lauzon and Kaitlyn Riordan, directed by Jani Lauzon. The 2022 Stratford Festival production of 1939 launched a partnership between the University of Waterloo’s Office of Indigenous Relations, Waterloo Indigenous Student Centre, Centre of Teaching Excellence, Faculty of Arts, and the Stratford Festival’s Education Department.

Immerse yourself at the Stratford School of Interaction Design and Business for an insightful discussion moderated by CBC IDEAS host Nahlah Ayed, accompanied by renowned science fiction writer and tech visionary, Cory Doctorow, and tech policy entrepreneur, Vass Bednar. Together, they will delve into the pivotal interplay between imagination, public policy, and advocacy.

In this ongoing lecture series presented by the Foundation for Palestinian Studies Fund at the University of Waterloo, we learn about and engage with each other to understand new perspectives and to work for peace in this often volatile region of the world.
