Effective September 2019, the Bachelor of Arts (Liberal Studies) degree will become available as an Honours Bachelor of Arts degree.
Liberal Studies is a flexible academic plan available to students in the Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree program, allowing students to take a wide variety of courses, full-time or part-time, at a pace that suits them.
With this change, University of Waterloo alumni who hold a 3-Year General, or 4-Year General, Bachelor of Arts (Liberal Studies) degree have the option of applying to upgrade their degree beginning this Fall 2019 term (or a future term) if they wish to do so.
