AUO Advisor Appointment Request Form

Welcome to the Arts booking page. Your advisors are here to support you in several different ways - with academic support, exploring campus resources, and course enrolment amongst other things you might need help with. We are friendly, non-judgmental advisors who want to help you in a confidential, safe environment. 

Advising appointments are offered Monday to Friday from 10:00-12:00pm and 1:00- 3:30pm. 

This form books appointments with advisors for the following student groups: 

  • First year students in Honours Arts and Honours Arts and Business 

  • Liberal Studies major students 

  • Arts and Business upper-year students 

  • Currently enrolled in the Foundation Term 

  • International Exchange (Inbound and Outbound) 

  • Readmission to Arts 

  • Transferring to Arts from another Faculty at Waterloo 

  • Non-degree/post-degree students 

NOTE: 

  • Upper-year students with a declared major should contact your Arts Major Advisor major advisor first for questions related to your major/other academic plan. 

  • Students in AFM, CFM, SFM and GBDA should contact their program advisor.

Availability

Appointments are booked Monday- Friday between 10:00 - 12:00 pm and 1:00- 3:30 pm. 

Please provide a few options for your availability, so we can book you in as soon as possible if your preferred date and time isn't available. 

Your appointment will be booked during the available times you provide.

Attending the meeting with someone else for support?

If you are planning to have a support person (parent, UW MATES, friend, etc.) join your appointment, please let us know so that we can provide a Consent to Release Personal Information form. This form allows you to control the personal information (grades, academic standing, etc.) shared by your advisor during your appointment (virtual or in-person).
Type of appointment

If you are scheduled for an in-person appointment and are no longer able to make it in person, but you still want to meet,  please email artsadvisor@uwaterloo.ca to reschedule your appointment or change to a virtual appointment.
