Thrive Month

Thrive month is October 18 - November 12, 2021. Join us for a series of events focused on building a culture of wellbeing and normalizing mental health struggles for Waterloo students and employees (faculty, staff, CUPE). 

Thrive with us at events such as:

• Move to Thrive: Thrive Walk, Oct 18 | Kick off the month by wearing your Thrive t-shirt and walking on campus, in your neighbourhood, or at home. If you need a t-shirt, you can request one through the Thrive t-shirt order form. Quantities are limited.
• Thrive Creative Showcase, Oct 19 | Share your mental health and wellness journey by expressing how you manage and destigmatize mental health challenges through writing, music, or any expression of art. 
• Let’s Talk about Mental Health at the Intersections, Oct 21 | In collaboration with the President’s Anti-Racism Taskforce (PART), this panel will discuss intersectionality (the convergence of two or more identities within a person) and its effects on health and wellbeing. 
• Mindful Morsels, Nov 1 & 8 | Join us and our special guests award-winning Chef Javier and Nicole Pin, Dietitian for a virtual home cooking event and tips on mindful eating and saving money at the grocery store.
• Student Mental Health Research Conference, Nov 10 | Connect with your colleagues and peers to share knowledge and promote mental wellness through presentations and Q&A sessions.
