Freeing Your Voice (CTE703)

This workshop is designed for those who wish to enhance the quality and command of their voice and communication in public speaking and everyday communication. Participants will be introduced to exercises that help project the voice, command a space, improve articulation, address vocal problems, expand range, and breathe more freely and effectively. Participants are asked to dress in comfortable clothes and footwear in order to facilitate movement and breathing.

Anne-Marie Donovan is a theatre & opera director & creator. Her practice is informed by many years as a concertizing classical singer. From the mid-1990s until 2014, Anne-Marie taught in the Theatre and Performance program at University of Waterloo where she was a recipient of the 2003 Distinguished Teacher of the Year Award.
