Location: Online (MS Teams)
Facilitator: Kyle Scholz (Centre for Teaching Excellence)
Description
No make-up, wardrobe, or stylist, and yet you’re still going in front of the (web) camera day after day creating and recording lessons for your learners. The skills required to create screencasts have had to be developed on the fly, but there is much we can learn from research and practical experience that informs how best to create an engaging screencast. This session will explore the platforms, tools, approaches, and techniques that can be employed to turn a pre-recorded lesson into an engaging screencast.
By the end of this session, you should be able to:
- Identify technology to best support the objectives of your screencast
- Describe best practices to produce effective and engaging screencasts
- Determine when and how to incorporate interactivity in your screencasts
