Nobel Prize in Physics

Physics and Astronomy professor Donna Strickland won the 2018 Nobel Prize in Physics, only the third woman in history to do so.

Dr. Strickland won for her breakthrough work on chirped pulse amplification in lasers which helped develop technology such as eye surgery, laser printers, and scanners you see in retail stores.
