Workshop Overview
Conflicts stem from many different sources. Understanding when and how to apply a variety of different conflict resolution strategies can prevent unnecessary hardship. This one-hour virtual session will review strategies to defuse anger and conflict so that difficult situations in the workplace can be resolved respectfully.
This online learning event will be facilitated through Microsoft Teams by Homewood Health, the provider of our Employee and Family Assistance Program (EFAP) for employees at the University.

About the Presenter (Facilitator)
Samantha is a language coach, facilitator, and consultant within the mental health field. Throughout the course of her career, she has worked in research and organizational wellness, HR, and education. Her experiences coaching and teaching groups in and outside corporate environments, and her time spent living abroad, have contributed to her passion for working with a variety of populations to help them reach their goals. She is currently completing her Masters in Counselling Psychology.
She is a language enthusiast and strong advocate for the importance of effective communication in a healthcare setting. The impact that linguistic and cultural humility have on quality of health services are at the root of her work.
