GreenShield Launches new innovative app for a better benefit and support experience

On October 23, 2024, University of Waterloo employees and retirees registered with GSC everywhere will be receiving an email message from GreenShield announcing the migration to their new application, GreenShield+, to support benefit inquiries-- including remaining balances, claims, and more.  The GreenShield+ app, powered by Google Cloud and Microsoft technologies, offers streamlined, connected care and reimbursement by integrating the company’s health services and benefits plans.

How GreenShield+ will simplify the healthcare journey

GreenShield+ provides access to GreenShield’s digital health and benefits offerings in one place, delivering a personalized, engaging, and simplified experience.

In one easy-to-use place, users can search for health care providers, check their benefit coverage, access health care services, connect with thousands of health care professionals, and seamlessly submit their benefits claims, anytime, anywhere. The integrated services will bridge the typical gaps between payers and providers, giving users timely access to the quality care they need, with effortless processing and payment of benefits claims. It will enable:

  • Better Access: Connect easily with thousands of health professionals without long wait times.
  • Better Convenience: Leverage services anytime, anywhere with effortless digital capabilities and seamless reimbursement of your benefits claims.

Your member login remains the same as does your member/benefit ID. GreenShield Benefit Booklets will continue to reference GSC Everywhere as the application until GreenShield has completed the full transition to this new application.  

The existing application, GSC Everywhere, will still be available to plan members to allow an appropriate transition time.

The GreenShield+ App is available for download for Apple and Android today.
