Prevalence was significantly higher among males than females for using cigarsand cigarillos in the past 30 days (Figure 4.3).19,20 Chewing tobacco/snuff, pipe and waterpipe use were not tested for differences between males and females due to low numbers.
Since 1999, the use of cigars or cigarillos has consistently been more prevalent among males, and patterns over time have been roughly parallel for both males and females so differences have persisted, but appear to be lessening somewhat in the most recent years (Figure 4.4).
