In 2016-17, 12.6%a of Canadian students in grades 7-9 reported having ever tried an e-cigarette, not significantly different from 12.3%b in 2014-15.184

Past 30-day use of e-cigarettes was 5.4%c in 2016-17, which was also not significantly different from the 2014-15 prevalence of 3.9%d.185

E-cigarette use (ever and in the past 30 days) differed significantly by grade,186,187 increasing with each grade level, as shown in Figure 13.1.
