Flavours in e-cigarettes

Bar chart showing percentage of e-cigaraette flavour used most often among past 30-day users of e-cigarettes, in 2020. Trends described in text. Data table below with 95% confidence intervals.

E-cigarettes and e-liquids are manufactured in a variety of flavours. When past 30-day e-cigarette users were asked, “Which flavour do you vape most often?”, fruit was the most prevalent, followed by mint or menthol (Figure 11.32).

Fruit was the most popular usual flavour smoking both males (39.4%a) and females (53.7%b); mint or menthol was used most often by 18.8%c of males and 13.4%d of females.

Usual flavours appeared to vary by age (Figure 11.33), with fruit flavours more popular among younger age groups, and tobacco flavour selected more often among older users.
