Among daily smokers in grades 7-9 in 2018-19, the difference in daily cigarette consumption between males and females was not significant (Figure 7.9).46 In this age group, consumption appears to have fluctuated more over time among males, but remained relatively stable among females (Figure 7.10).
Among daily smokers aged 15-19, while 2020 estimates were not reportable among males and females, mean daily cigarette consumption was higher among male smokers in most preceding years (Figure 7.10).
