Cigarette consumption

Average cigarette consumption among daily smokers was 12.5 cigarettes per day (CPD) in 2020, which was not a significant change from the 2019 estimate of 11.7 CPD.11 From 1999 to 2020, cigarette consumption declined significantly,12 by nearly 5 cigarettes per day (Figure 1.8).
