There is a great deal of concern about youth uptake of e-cigarettes. Eight of the ten provinces (all except Alberta and Saskatchewan) had introduced age restrictions on sales of e-cigarettes to minorsxix prior to the federal legislation in May 2018,xiii as well as restrictions on advertising and promotion.xix

Between 2013 and 2017, ever use of e-cigarettes among youth aged 15-19 appears to have increased in most provinces, though 2015 estimates were higher in some (Table 12.2).
