The Faculty of Arts is very proud to share that Dr. Sara A. Hart will hold the Canada Excellence Research Chair (CERC) in Developmental Science, based in the Department of Psychology. Hart is an expert in developmental psychology who is at the forefront of using precision education to understand how and why some children struggle to learn to read and do math.
The Theatre and Performance program's fall show, She Kills Monsters by Qui Nguyen, tells the story of Agnes Evans who, following the death of her teenage sister, Tilly, discovers Tilly’s Dungeons & Dragons notebook. Curious, she recruits an avid D&D player to guide her through this unknown world. She finds herself catapulted into a journey of discovery and action-packed adventure in the imaginary world that was her sister’s refuge.
In this ongoing lecture series presented by the Foundation for Palestinian Studies Fund at the University of Waterloo, we learn about and engage with each other to understand new perspectives and to work for peace in this often volatile region of the world. Right now, when Palestinians and Israelis alike are suffering and the humanitarian situation is deteriorating, we will come together again to talk and to listen.
