The Office of Research invites all to join the virtual health data seminar, ‘Using AI to advance health care in Canada’ on Wednesday, March 22, from 3 to 4:30 p.m. Learn about opportunities for engagement and collaboration at T-CAIREM, a national network that engages 23 universities and 90 organizations across Canada in advancing AI in medicine.
This event is open to all University of Waterloo students, faculty, staff, external partners and community members, and will feature a presentation by Dr. Muhammad Mamdani, PharmD, MA, MPH. Artificial intelligence (AI) is expected to transform health care. Canada is a global leader in AI research and health care, however its research and education talent is spread across many prestigious academic institutions across Canada with limited collaboration. The Temerty Centre for Artificial Intelligence Research and Education in Medicine (T-CAIREM) has recently been established at the University of Toronto with a major goal to establish a national network focused on the advancement of AI in medicine.
