Description

Online quizzes have many uses ranging from providing an incentive to your students to prepare in advance for class to testing students' understanding of course concepts throughout the term or on midterm and final exams. In this session, we will explore the Quiz tool available in LEARN. By the end of this session, participants will be able to:

  • Identify a variety of reasons for using online quizzes
  • Explore available question types and consider appropriate use cases for each
  • Gain an understanding of quiz settings, including restrictions, submission views, and accommodations
  • Have an awareness of the value of feedback to enhance student learning
  • Create a quiz to best suit the pedagogical purpose(s) of the assessment

Depending on time and interest during the session, participants may have the opportunity to develop their own quizzes in LEARN.

Registration

Registration is required. CTE has a new registration system called GoSignMeUp. Before you can register for a workshop, you need to create an account (one time only). Once you've created an account, you can register for this workshop.

Cancellations

Many of our workshops have waiting lists, so if you've registered but can't attend, please cancel your registration well in advance through the registration system, so that someone else can fill your spot.
