Dr. Kristin Brown
CTE is pleased to announce that Dr. Kristin Brown has been offered and accepted a permanent position as our centre's Educational Research Associate. Kristin has held this role for the past year in an interim capacity. Previously, she worked at CTE in graduate programming and as a research assistant for a multi-institutional, SSHRC-funded study examining institutional teaching culture.

Kristin completed her PhD in Waterloo's School of Public Health and Health Systems with her research focusing on how evidence can be integrated to enhance practice in education, using mixed methods. Kristin’s research interests include pedagogy that supports student wellbeing.

Kristin brings to her role a deep understanding of method and methodology, and insightful connections between her advanced graduate training in a health-related field and our field of higher education teaching development.

As Educational Research Associate, Kristin supports the Centre for Teaching Excellence’s assessment and evaluation work. She consults with faculty and staff members conducting teaching and learning research and applying for Learning Innovation and Teaching Enhancement (LITE) grants. Further, she is involved with planning the University of Waterloo’s annual Teaching and Learning conference.

We're glad you'll continue to be with us, Kristin!
