University of Waterloo Teaching and Learning Conference 2017: Proposal Submission Information

For this year's Conference, we will be using EasyChair. Please follow the steps below to submit your proposal. 

Note: If you are experiencing technical difficulties submitting your proposal, please contact us the next morning. 

Creating an EasyChair account

  1. If you do not already have an EasyChair account, you can create one by going to the proposal submission website and clicking on "create an account". You will be required to provide your name and e-mail address. 
  2. You will receive an e-mail confirming your request for an account. Click on the link on the e-mail.
  3. The link will lead you to an account set-up page. You will be asked to provide a user name, your name, organization, phone number, address, and password. Click on "Create my account". 
  4. You will be able to login to the proposal submission website using your new user name and password. The main page contains conference information, contact information, and important dates. 

Submitting your proposal

  1. Login to the proposal submission website
  2. Click on the "New submission" tab at the top left of the page. 
  3. There is a link to submission instructions at the top of the page which contains information from the Call for Proposals. Enter information for each author associated with the proposal. Select the corresponding author(s) - these authors will receive all e-mails from the system concerning this submission. 
  4. Enter the title, abstract, keywords, and reference list (optional) associated with your proposal.
  5. List the authors' names in the order that you wish them to appear in the Conference program.
  6. Select the session format and any audio-visual requirements you require for your session. 
  7. Click on the "Submit" button. You will receive a confirmation e-mail of your submission. 
  8. You may login to the system at any time up until the proposal submission deadline to revise or withdraw your submission, and to add other ones.
