Workshop Overview
Hear from University of Waterloo staff member Jennifer Murray about her individual mental health journey with Depression, what she wished she had known and done differently, and how she manages her mental health now. Though this journey is unique, as are everyone’s mental health needs, it may provide some insights into what might help in your own journey and offers a Q&A portion about Jennifer's experience at the end. Also, learn what support is available at the university for those navigating their own mental health with resources from Occupational Health.

Facilitator
Jennifer Murray has worked at the University of Waterloo for 9 years in the Office of Advancement and is also an alum (BA ‘02). Officially diagnosed with Depression over 15 years ago, she was inspired by Clara Hughes - who spoke about her depression during the early “Bell Let’s Talk” campaign - and wants to make talking about mental health experiences easier so we can all learn how to support ourselves and others.
