Looking for quick guidance on your career development, growth opportunities, or application materials? Drop‑in career support is a flexible, open-format space where University of Waterloo employees can bring their questions, ideas, and career-related materials for on‑the‑spot, in-person support. 

These drop-ins are informal, unstructured, and first‑come, first‑served. There is no presentation, just a knowledgeable career advisor available to help.

Effectively answering interview questions can feel challenging under the pressure of the moment. Join this session to discover tips on how to stay calm, address common interview questions, and effectively demonstrate your skills and accomplishments during an interview.  

Format: Online workshop

When was the last time you had a chance to revisit your résumé? Reviewing your skills and accomplishments can be a great way to identify opportunities for further education and explore career growth. In this workshop, we will explore best practices for building and creating an effective résumé that highlights your career accomplishments.

OHD (Organizational and Human Development) is opening its doors, and you're invited to come explore! Search our curated collection of learning and development books that are perfect if you're looking to dive into new learning materials, revisiting keynote topics, or finding new inspiration.

Bring a colleague (or a few!) to flip through books on well-being, inclusion, leadership, time management, and more. Reconnect with peers, enter a raffle for a conference keynote speaker book, and discover titles to share with your team or community.  You might even find the perfect conversation starter to share with others browsing alongside you.

Whether you’re a longtime UWaterloo employee, leader, or new to campus, this session will spark fresh thinking and help you connect your work to the impact we strive to make. 

You're welcome to bring and eat your lunch during the first half of the session; the last 20 minutes will include more interactive components so you can engage with fellow participants.
