A minor is a secondary area of specialization you can complete in addition to your major, and is a great way to combine your interests in multiple subjects. They normally begin after first year, and usually consist of 8 courses. A minor is recognized on your degree.

In the Tourism Minor you’ll investigate trends in the tourism industry, and the complex forces that influence tourism in Canada and around the world. You’ll have the opportunity to take classes from internationally renowned professors who are recognized for their expertise in market trends, tourism planning and policy, and tourism impacts.

Refer to the Undergraduate Calendar for a full list of courses for this minor. The Tourism Minor is available to all University of Waterloo students.
