The first annual University of Waterloo Sport Management Competition will bring together teams of undergraduate students enrolled in sport-related disciplines from across the province as they work together to find solutions to a “real life” managerial issue facing a provincially-based sport organization.
The sixth Annual Waterloo West Neighbourhood Fest is a free, drop-in event organized and delivered by University of Waterloo students in partnership with the Stork Family YMCA and Harper Library.
In honour of the Department’s 50th Anniversary the Shaw-Mannell Leisure Research Award will be presented to two recipients who have shown innovative, creative, and courageous research.
In May 2017, renovations began on the second floor creating a brand new space for the faculty staff and students of the Department.
Formed as a chance for graduate students in the wide-ranging fields of recreation, leisure, tourism studies and therapeutic recreation to come together and share research and ideas, the Graduate Leisure Research Symposium is a forum to present to peers and faculty in a low-stress and supportive environment.
