Resources for faculty and staff
The Applied Health Sciences (AHS) Computing team provides support for information technology for faculty and staff including hardware, software, e-mail, printing, VPN, security, and other services.
The AHS communications team assists with sharing events, news, research stories, teaching stories, student/alumni stories, or other stories. They also help with promotional material, media training, web content, and social media management.
The University branding guidelines, faculty and department templates, and other resources are also helpful in providing consistent visual identity in communications.
Recreation and Leisure Studies Department meeting agendas and minutes are posted internally on the shared drive. Copies may be requested from the Department Administrator.
Policies, procedures, and guidelines
A summary of frequently referenced policies for teaching, research, faculty, staff, and other general policies is provided. Many of the Department's policies and procedures are governed by the Faculty of Applied Health Sciences (AHS) policies and procedures or by the University of Waterloo policies, procedures, and guidelines.
Research funding opportunities
There are several opportunities within AHS and University of Waterloo for research funding, as well as provincial, national, and international grant opportunities. The Office of Research provides a list of available opportunities and assists faculty in finding and managing research funds.
