Nicky Kaufman

Nicky Kaufman is a Realtor, Chartered Professional Accountant, competitive curler, and advocate for neurodivergent inclusion. With more than two decades in the sport, she recently fulfilled a lifelong dream by skipping Team Northwest Territories at the Scotties Tournament of Hearts, becoming the first openly autistic athlete to compete at Canada’s national women’s curling championship.

Following her diagnoses of Autism and ADHD, Nicky has become a passionate advocate for neurodivergent inclusion in sport. She is the founder of Inclusive Curling Co., an initiative focused on creating sensory-friendly and welcoming environments where neurodivergent athletes can experience curling in a supportive and accessible way. Through community events, education, and partnerships with curling clubs across Canada, Inclusive Curling Co. works to expand access to the sport and help ensure that people of all neurotypes feel they belong on the ice.

Dr. Neville Headley

Dr. Neville Headley graduated from the University of Alberta in 1982 and served with the Canadian Armed Forces Dental Services for 20 years, prior to returning to Calgary in 1998. Currently, he enjoys mentoring as much as wisdom teeth removal and placing implants in twelve clinic locations.

For the past 26 years, Dr. Headley has volunteered on the Calgary Stampede Promotion Committee and prides himself on his dancing (Ballroom, Latin, Country and Line) and western skills (trick roping, gun spinning, whip cracking). He has a passion for both teaching and diversifying the sport of curling.

Dr. Headley's extra circular activities are as impressive as they are interesting including officiating at two Commonwealth Games and the 1988 Calgary Olympic Games, an extra on the set of Superman 3, Las Vegas Nevada Western Stage Props cover model (2018), the Calgary greeter for the Amazing Race Canada, golf, curling and photography. His most recent ventures include publishing a first book of photos and quotations, executive producing the Tangoman movie and Tango The Musical, a sizzling stage show featuring world champion Tango dancers and a Latin Grammy-winning orchestra, and inventing a new surgical dental drill designed to make the removal of wisdom teeth easier!

He will be sharing his spirited commitment to making curling a welcoming place for everyone.
