Larissa McLeod receives U SPORTS Gail Wilson Award

Fourth-year Recreation and Sport Business student and varsity field hockey player Larissa McLeod received the U SPORTS Gail Wilson Award last Thursday, October 31 at the U SPORTS Field Hockey award gala in Victoria, B.C. This award is given to a player who has contributed greatly to her sport, academics and greater community. She was also named a U SPORTS All-Canadian.

As the team captain, McLeod helped lead the Waterloo Warriors field hockey team to an OUA bronze medal this past season. On top of her studies, McLeod is an active member of the UWaterloo and greater Waterloo community by volunteering with the Team Up Community Outreach Program, Waterloo's Athletic IU Council and Fitness Feeds the Community, an initiative in collaboration with the Food Bank of Waterloo Region.
