Giana Tomas (she/her) is a PhD candidate from the Department of Recreation and Leisure Studies who studies and works to advocate for the well-being of arrivants. She is interested in critical migration, border, and diaspora studies and leisure, health, and wellness/well-being. In her work, she engages anti-colonial and story-based research approaches and critical intersectional social theories.
