Why did you choose the University of Waterloo? There are two main reasons I chose the University of Waterloo. First, I found that the co-op program would be a great opportunity for me to gain valuable work experience throughout my studies. Second, there is a very lively student experience at Waterloo; with 200+ clubs and societies, there's bound to be something for everyone!
What do you like most about your program? My favourite thing about my program has to be the flexibility! I think my program provides students with the perfect opportunity to explore their interests in first-year and determine a major they're really passionate about. I had a similar experience in first-year and found myself interested in Economics, even though it wasn't a major I had previously considered.
Co-op experience/what you like about co-op at Waterloo? Co-op has been a great experience for me because it helped me get a better understanding of what I wanted to do in the future. In fact, it helped me understand that I wanted to remain in academia and pursue a career as a professor. I think it has been similarly helpful for other students too!
Another thing I really like about Waterloo's co-op program is that it provides students with the ability to build a professional network.
