Hobbies / Interests: I love music, I played piano my whole life and was a hip hop dancer for 10 years! I love to travel, and I also ride horses which I would say is my favourite sport :)
Why did you choose the University of Waterloo? I always heard about how close the arts faculty was and how versatile the ARBUS program is. I really couldn't decide between going to business school and law school for my masters so I chose political science with business to kind of learn more about each subject. I also fell in love with co-op because of the hands on experience you receive compared to other undergrad students.
What do you like most about your program? I love how open my classes are for discussions. Every class I've had has had opportunities for large discussions that open my eyes to different perspectives. Because of that, I became a critical thinker and embraced multiple perspectives from my peers.
Co-op experience/what you like about co-op at Waterloo? I have had a coop at Communitech for the Digital Main Street program as a Content Marketer. I was able to work with other students and create an online presence for small Canadian businesses who were affected by the pandemic. This meant making them websites, building them social platforms and creating content. I also currently work at Driverseat as a marketing coordinator and am so excited to learn about working at startups this semester.
One more thing about yourself? I am super excited to hopefully help people entering the program or have questions about it. I remember the people who solidified my stance on waterloo and I want to be that person for someone else!
