Getting Started in LEARN (CTE656)

Location: MC 2036         Note: Open to faculty and staff (registration is required)

Description: This two-hour hands-on workshop will introduce you to LEARN (from Desire2Learn), our course management system for presenting course activities and resources in on-campus and fully online courses. Users who are new to the system, or who want a refresher and to become familiar with the new interface may find value in this session. Please bring your own laptop to this session.

Facilitator: Jason Thompson(CTE)

Learning Outcomes: By the end of this session you will:

  • be able to use the D2L environment to communicate with your students;
  • make decisions around the most effective way to organize content in your course; 
  • have basic knowledge of the tools available within D2L and the ability to use these tools effectively.
  • know how and where to obtain further assistance with course development in LEARN.
