LEARN for TAs (CTE6550)Export this event to calendar

Tuesday, January 15, 2019 — 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM EST

Location: MC 2036

Facilitators: Mary Power (Centre for Teaching Excellence), Samar Mohamed (Centre for Teaching Excellence), Victoria Feth (Centre for Teaching Excellence)

Notes: Open to graduate students

Description

This two hour hands-on workshop will introduce TAs to LEARN (from Desire2Learn), our course management system for presenting course activities and resources in on-campus and fully online courses. By the end of this session, TAs will be able to use the D2L environment to communicate with students, have basic knowledge of the tools available within D2L, enter grades. TAs should be enrolled in the course they will be working in with the appropriate permissions, and should know the sorts of tasks that they will be asked to complete in that course to make best use of their time in the session.

Registration

Registration is required. CTE has a new registration system. New system users need to create an account before registering.

Difficulty registering? Read the instructions on the Training and Development Registration system home page.

Cancellations

Many of our workshops have waiting lists, so if you've registered but can't attend, please cancel your registration well in advance through the registration system, so that someone else can fill your spot.
