This session highlights the use of a problem-solving worksheet in a large class setting that provides students with individual skill development and immediate feedback while still allowing for easily and effective grade tally.
- Students respond to a problem on the sheet;
- students peer grade another’s work during instructor guided take up;
- sheets are collected and scanned;
- e-copy sent to students with peer-graded answer;
- grades imported into LEARN.
This versitile worksheet can be used for a variety of active learning activities, across disciplines, in any course, large or small. In this session you’ll see examples of how the worksheet was used in 1st year CHEM, PHYS and BIOL courses.
