SoTL Stories

Wednesday, November 2, 2022 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm EDT (GMT -04:00)

Location: Online

Facilitators: Kyle Scholz (CTE)

Description

The scholarship of teaching and learning (SoTL) systematically investigates teaching and/or learning and can include exploring a specific research question, engaging with the literature, collecting data, and sharing the results publicly. At the University of Waterloo, this research is supported through the Learning Innovation and Teaching Enhancement (LITE) Grant program. Come hear from previous LITE Grant recipients and colleagues at the University of Waterloo who have conducted their own SoTL research and learn how they navigated this work (e.g., developing a research question, ethics of conducting research with students, finding appropriate methodologies, etc.).

Speakers
Nadine Ibrahim (Civil and Environmental Engineering)

Wayne Chang (Conrad School of Entrepreneurship), Jenn Coggan (Chemistry), Chris Rennick (Engineering Ideas Clinic)
