This assessment redesign workshop explores the implications of GenAI for assessment design, offering strategies to both harness GenAI as a learning tool and address challenges. New Faculty Teaching Days will take place from Tuesday, August 11, 2026 to Friday, August 14, 2026.

In this workshop, we will discuss common issues related to the teaching environment and how they influence class dynamics. Some topics that will be covered are intersectionality, power and privilege, and bias and assumptions. Participants will also explore devising strategies to handle these issues with the goal of increasing learner motivation and engagement.
