On May 1st of each year, the University of Waterloo’s extended health, dental, life insurance, and long-term disability (LTD) benefits are typically subject to a contract renewal. Where applicable, new rates are applied, and employee deductions processed.

With the end of the winter term approaching, many employees may be exploring taking time off to enjoy the warmer months. However, Workday reports indicate that many employees are not using their earned time for the current vacation year, which ends June 30, 2024. Note: Due to the nature of some departments and their positions, carry forward, or when vacations are taken, may vary.

HR launches satisfaction survey

Over the next several weeks, Human Resources is conducting a campus-wide survey in order to gain a better understanding of employee satisfaction with the services it provides. In order to establish the baselines measurements as we strive to meet our vision and mission, we need your help. Your opinions are essential to the Human Resources department’s ability to meet its goals and objectives, identify gaps, and use the data to generate improvements.
