John (Can) Ergen wins the AHS heat in three minute thesis competition

Congratulations to John (Can) Ergen, a Masters of Recreation and Leisure Studies student, who placed first at the Applied Health Sciences (AHS) heat of the Three Minute Thesis (3MT) competition! He did an excellent job presenting his thesis titled “Choir Participation, Social Identity & Psychological Wellbeing”. Christina Appah also represented the department well while presenting her thesis titled "Rural Women Empowerment through Community Based Tourism and Social Entrepreneurship in Ghana." John will now represent the Faculty of AHS at the university-wide 3MT finals on March 20. Thank you to all who presented! John is pictured fourth from the left, and Christina second from the left.
