The Department of Recreation and Leisure Studies is proud to celebrate our student successes all across campus! As the Winter 2018 term comes to an end, Athletics celebrated students who have made an incredible impact on the day to day operations of Warrior Athletics and Recreation at the Warriors Student Leadership Reception. Four REC undergrad students were recognized for their significant contributions:
Megan Muir – Game Day Staff Leadership Award
Rachel Bronzovich and Owen Masterton – Marketing Leadership Award
Trish Oei – First Aid Training Leadership Award

And it doesn’t stop there for our REC Students in Athletics! At this year’s Athletic Banquet, Tegan Sauer, a Therapeutic Recreation student-athlete on the Track and Field Team, was named female athlete of the year! She raced her way to a bronze medal finish at the U SPORTS Championship and finished the season with a total of five gold medals, one silver and one bronze.
