Federation of Students' Land Acknowledgement Ceremony

In recognition of National Aboriginal History Month, Feds is holding a special event in collaboration with the Waterloo Aboriginal Education Centre (WAEC) and Waterloo's Aboriginal Students Association (ASA) to mark the installation of a land acknowledgement plaque at the Student Life Centre (SLC). University Choir: Island Music

On July 15th the University of Waterloo presents a special program of exploration, history, and collaboration through music. “Islands” brings story and song from some of the world’s most fascinating island communities. Hawaii, New Zealand, Cuba, and Jamaica are real islands with unique and interrelated musical cultures featuring popular and beloved music. Canada too has its islands. 540 km north of Thunder Bay on the northern peninsula of Eastwood Island is the Webequie First Nation.
