Tuesday, October 3, 2017 1:00 pm - 2:30 pm EDT (GMT -04:00)

Location: EV1 241         Notes: Open to faculty and staff (registration is required)

Description: The focus of this joint workshop between AccessAbility Services and the Centre for Teaching Excellence is on designing and teaching courses with accessibility in mind. Participants will learn about some of the common learning challenges students with disabilities encounter in their courses and how assistive technologies and accommodations help level the playing field for these learners. Using case examples, participants will also explore ways to design and teach courses using accessibility practices, and will gain practical strategies to apply in their own teaching and resources for further learning.
