Assessing and Improving Your Teaching (CTE160)

Thursday, June 15, 2017 9:30 am - 11:00 am EDT (GMT -04:00)

Location: EV1 241

Description: Successful teachers make it a priority to critically reflect on their teaching by tapping into the many evaluation tools available to us. In this workshop, we'll explore how teaching assistants can get evaluations of their teaching from supervisors, peers, students, and others. We'll talk about whom to ask for feedback, when to ask, and how. You'll work in groups to analyze both formal and informal feedback tools, discuss how to incorporate them into your teaching, and consider how to interpret and make use of evaluations you receive.

Facilitator: Patricia Huynh, CTE

Notes: Participants will receive an attendance credit if they arrive on time and stay until the end of the event.
