Description
Bongo Video Assignment is a video assessment tool that supports experiential learning and soft skills development. It’s currently available at UW through LEARN. During this session, we’ll focus on two video assignment types:

Q&A, and
-
Interactive Video.
Q&A allows for timed oral and visual assessments, such as clinical interviews and language learning. Interactive Video promotes active viewing by engaging students through multiple-choice questions interspersed throughout a video.
Participants will experience both assignment types, first as students and then as instructors. As instructors, you’ll create a Q&A or Interactive Video assignment with support from facilitators. Ideas for using Video Assignment in your courses both as formative and summative assessments will be shared.
Note: Participants wishing to create their own Interactive Videos should have their own short video (max. 2 mins) on-hand, such as a lecture or lab demonstration video.
By the end of this workshop, participants should be able to:
- Complete both Q&A and Interactive Video Assignments as students.
- Create either a Q&A or Interactive Video Assignment as instructors and learning designers.
- Identify whether/how Q&A and/or Interactive Video Assignments may enhance their students’ blended or online learning experience.

Cancellations
Many of our workshops have waiting lists, so if you've registered but can't attend, please cancel your registration well in advance through the registration system, so that someone else can fill your spot.
