Monday, March 26, 2018 — 1:30 PM to 3:30 PM EDT

Location: EV1 241
Facilitator: Dylon McChesney (CTE)

Workshop description

Engaging and well-designed lectures can set exceptional teachers apart from the crowd. Drawing on research from psychology and neuroscience about learning, memory, and cognition, this workshop teaches how to design lectures to promote student engagement and long-term information retention. You'll learn strategies that can be applied across different contexts and faculties and hear stories about the most memorable techniques used to capture students' interest.

Many of our workshops have waiting lists, so if you've registered but can't attend, please notify us 24 hours in advance (at cte-grad@uwaterloo.ca ) so that we can give your spot to someone else.
