CUT Interactive Teaching Activities (CTE165)

Tuesday, January 24, 2017 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm EST (GMT -05:00)

Location: EV1-241

Description: While many of us want to include more interactive techniques in our teaching, we are often unsure of which activities to use and how to best implement them in our lectures, labs, or tutorials. In this workshop, we’ll discuss which activities work best for the different learning preferences we explored in CTE068: Understanding the Learner. Through an interactive learning activity, we’ll consider how to choose, plan, troubleshoot, and facilitate interactive techniques for different disciplines and classrooms.

Pre-workshop activity: Please complete the required pre-workshop activity detailed in LEARN at least 24 hours in advance of the workshop.

Facilitator: Stephanie White, CTE

Notes:

  • Registration is limited to CUT participants enrolled in GS901.
  • Due to the interactive nature of this workshop, registration is limited to 20 participants per session.
  • A pre-workshop activity is required in advance of the workshop, as detailed in LEARN.
  • A response paper is required following the workshop.
